Dr. Ambedkar's ideals are key for achieving the dream of Viksit Bharat by 2047, said Shri Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, honourable Governor of Kerala, at Cochin today. He was inaugurating the Ambedkar Jayanthi celebrations of Dalit Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DICCI) today.

The Governor said that Ambedkar's vision has empowered Dalits through education and social justice and has enabled Dalits to be independent and stand on their own feet. Noting that the greatness of Ambedkar was not confined to a community, region but to the whole nation, he added.

The Governor said that Dr. Ambedkar was not just Bharat Ratna, but Viswa Ratna.

The Governor also lauded the efforts of DICCI in boosting entrepreneurial abilities of the marginalised sections of the society, overcoming many obstacles. Today is also the 20th foundation day of DICCI. The efforts of DICCI is a success story as it had created job givers and not just job seekers, said the Governor.

He said that it was 'nation first' for Ambedkar and it is time for us to rededicate ourselves to the ideals that Ambedkar has stood for.
