The Silver Jubilee celebrations of Marian Engineering College, Kazhakoottam, were inaugurated today by the Hon'ble Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arleker. Addressing a packed audience of academicians, students, clergy and dignitaries, the Governor delivered an inspiring keynote emphasising the purpose of education, nation-building, and the role of youth in shaping India's future.

He praised the institution's 25-year journey, its commitment to academic excellence, and its contribution to Kerala's strong educational heritage.

Highlighting the importance of character formation, the Governor said education must first produce good human beings, which in turn leads to nation-building. He urged students to decide early what they want to achieve and to align their innovations and aspirations with the national vision of Viksit Bharat @ 2047. "You will be the ones witnessing the fully developed India in 2047," he reminded the students, adding that their contribution is crucial.

Calling for a shift in the academic mindset, the Governor encouraged institutions to produce not just job seekers but job creators. He stressed the need for incubation centres, entrepreneurship development, and a culture of innovation that contributes to society. Kerala, he said, must play a key role in the journey towards a developed India, and institutions like Marian Engineering College should lead the way.

Concluding his address, the Governor urged students to embrace challenges, remain committed to societal development, and pledge themselves to the progress of Kerala and the nation. "Celebrating 25 years is easy, but carrying forward its true spirit is the real task," he said.

The Governor shared the stage with Metropolitan Archbishop Dr. Thomas Netto, Archbishop Emeritus Dr. Susapakyam, Auxiliary Bishop Dr. Christudas Rajappan, Principal Dr. Abdul Nizar, Tata Elxsi Center Head, JITEC Secretary S. Sreekumar, and Manager Dr. A.R. John.

മരിയൻ എഞ്ചിനീയറിങ് കോളേജ് കഴിഞ്ഞ 25 വർഷങ്ങളിൽ കൈവരിച്ച പുരോഗതിയേയും, അക്കാദമിക മികവിനുള്ള പ്രതിബദ്ധതയേയും കേരളത്തിന്റെ ശക്തമായ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ പാരമ്പര്യത്തിൽ നൽകിയ സംഭാവനയേയും അദ്ദേഹം പ്രശംസിച്ചു.

സ്വഭാവരൂപീകരണത്തിന്റെ പ്രാധാന്യം ഊന്നിപ്പറഞ്ഞ ഗവർണർ, വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം കൊണ്ട് നല്ല മനുഷ്യരെയാണ് പ്രധാനമായും രൂപപ്പെടുത്തേണ്ടതെന്നും അതാണ് രാഷ്ട്രനിർമ്മാണത്തിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനമെന്നും പറഞ്ഞു. വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾ തങ്ങളുടെ ലക്ഷ്യങ്ങൾ മുന്‍കൂട്ടി നിർണയിച്ച് 'വികസിത് ഭാരത് @2047' എന്ന ദേശീയ സ്വപ്‌നവുമായി അവരുടെ ആഗ്രഹങ്ങളും നവചേതനകളും കൂട്ടിയിണക്കണമെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം ആഹ്വാനം ചെയ്തു. പൂർണ്ണമായും വികസിച്ച 2047-ലെ ഇന്ത്യയെ കാണാൻ കഴിയുന്നത് നിങ്ങൾക്ക് തന്നെയായിരിക്കും," അദ്ദേഹം പ്രത്യാശിച്ചു.

വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ മേഖലയിൽ ചിന്താഗതിയിലെ മാറ്റത്തിന്റെ ആവശ്യകത ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി, തൊഴിൽ അന്വേഷകരെ അല്ല തൊഴിൽ സൃഷ്ടാക്കളെയാണ് വളർത്തിയെടുക്കേണ്ടതെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം ഓര്‍മ്മിപ്പിച്ചു. ഇൻക്യുബേഷൻ സെന്ററുകൾ, സംരംഭകത്വ വികസനം, സമൂഹത്തിന് ഗുണം ചെയ്യുന്ന നവസംസ്‌കാരം എന്നിവയുടെ പ്രാധാന്യം അദ്ദേഹം ഊന്നിപ്പറഞ്ഞു. വികസിത ഇന്ത്യയുടെ യാത്രയിൽ കേരളം ഒരു നിർണായക പങ്ക് പങ്കുവഹിക്കണമെന്നും മരിയൻ എഞ്ചിനീയറിങ് കോളേജ് പോലെയുള്ള സ്ഥാപനങ്ങൾ അതിന് നേതൃത്വം നൽകണമെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം ഉദ്ബോധിപ്പിച്ചു.

വെല്ലുവിളികളെ തന്റേടത്തോടെ ഏറ്റെടുക്കാനും, സമൂഹിക വികസനത്തിൽ പ്രതിബദ്ധത പുലർത്താനും, കേരളത്തിന്റെയും രാജ്യത്തിന്റെയും പുരോഗതിക്ക് തങ്ങളെ പൂര്‍ണമായും സമർപ്പിക്കാനും അദ്ദേഹം വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളോട് ആഹ്വാനം ചെയ്തു. "25 വർഷം ആഘോഷിക്കുന്നത് എളുപ്പമാണ്, പക്ഷേ അതിന്റെ അന്തഃസത്ത ഉള്‍ക്കൊണ്ട് മുന്നോട്ട് പോകുന്നതാണ് യഥാർത്ഥ ദൗത്യം," എന്നും അദ്ദേഹം കൂട്ടിച്ചേർത്തു.
